Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization is seeking an RN for the Emergency Department at Waldo Hospital in Belfast, ME. This is a Per Diem, Evening shift position with a broader schedule noted as Full Time.

The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality outcomes across adult, pediatric and behavioral health needs in a 24/7 ED setting.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the applicable state
• BLS certification required or obtained within 30 days

• NRN education: BSN preferred or higher

Summary:

This is a Per Diem, Evening shift position.

Unit Bio:

The Emergency Department is open twenty-four hours a day with 13-beds and a 3-bed behavioral health area. Patients range from adults, pediatrics, chronic illness, and behavioral health. The ED also cares for the critically ill and injured of all ages. The emergency department provides excellent care with a fantastic team along with tremendous leadership support.

The Registered Nurse - Acute Care role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines.
• Experience: One year of recent RN experience preferred.
• Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required.

The pay range for this position is $37.09to $50.17 per hour.

Compensation for part-time positions isdeterminedon a prorated basis consistent with scheduled hours, applicable full-time equivalent (FTE).
