Job summary

Columbiana Health & Rehabilitation in Columbiana, AL is seeking a Day Shift RN to provide skilled nursing care on 12-hour shifts. You will assess patients, administer medications, coordinate care with physicians and therapists, and mentor LPNs and CNAs while maintaining quality and compassion.

Your Role as an RN

As a Day Shift RN, you’ll provide skilled nursing care while serving as a clinical leader for residents and the nursing team.

You’ll work closely with LPNs, CNAs, physicians, therapy, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, compassionate, high‑quality care.

What You’ll Do

• Provide high-quality, resident‑centered nursing care
• Complete assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Respond appropriately to changes in clinical status
• Communicate with physicians and healthcare providers
• Supervise, mentor, and support LPNs and CNAs
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with residents and families
• Promote resident safety, dignity, comfort, and quality of life
• Ensure compliance with applicable clinical and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Current Alabama Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
• Strong clinical assessment and critical‑thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassionate, resident‑centered approach
• Ability to provide leadership and support to the nursing team
• Acute care, rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or long‑term care experience preferred
• Hospital RNs interested in a different nursing environment are encouraged to apply
