Margate Health and Rehabilitation in Jefferson, North Carolina is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a dedicated team. Flexible shifts and a $5,000 sign-on bonus for full-time PM shift candidates are offered in a supportive environment.

RNs will supervise CNAs, manage nursing care, ensure safe medication administration, and implement physician orders while providing compassionate patient care to residents. North Carolina licensure or compact eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license valid in NC.
• Experience supervising CNAs and coordinating nursing care is a plus.
• Ability to administer medications and transcribe physician orders accurately.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care and services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care on the unit and reassure staff on appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders and implement changes as directed by physicians.
• Perform nursing assessments and notify physicians of status changes.

Applicant must have an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license that allows you to practice in North Carolina.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.
• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, reassuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.
• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.
• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.
• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.
• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.
• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
