SanStone Health & Rehabilitation in North Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team of professionals. You will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care and health education for residents, under the direction of the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include supervising CNAs, coordinating unit care, administering medications, transcribing orders, and developing care plans. Requires an unrestricted NC RN license or a valid compact license.

Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted RN license to practice in North Carolina or a valid compact license for NC.
• Experienced in supervising CNAs and coordinating nursing care on a unit.
• Proficient in medication administration, accurate transcription, and physician order implementation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise care/services provided by CNAs and other staff.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents on the unit, ensuring appropriate care.
• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions.
• Transcribe and coordinate physician orders for implementation.
• Perform nursing assessments and promptly notify physician of changes.
• Develop and implement a care plan based on assessments.
• Select nursing interventions to stabilize residents or prevent complications.
• Contribute to overall resident assessments and care planning.

Applicant must have an unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in North Carolina or a compact license that allows you to practice in North Carolina.

Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Nursing, the Registered Nurse (RN) will plan, coordinate, provide and manage nursing care, services, and health education to our residents. These positions require patience, compassion, and a desire to care for the residents in a gentle and empathetic manner. Some responsibilities of the Registered Nurse (RN) may include:

• Supervise the care/services provided by Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other staff.


• Coordinate the nursing care of residents on the unit, assuring all assigned staff provide appropriate care to them.


• Provide safe and accurate medication-related interventions to residents.


• Accurately transcribe and coordinate the implementation of physician orders.


• Perform nursing assessments regarding the health status of residents. Notify the physician of changes in status and promptly implement and document new orders.


• Develop a plan of care based on assessment, implementing nursing care.


• Select and implement appropriate nursing interventions that may be required to stabilize a resident’s condition and/or prevent complications.


• Contribute to the resident’s assessment and the development of a care plan.
