Job summary

Essentia Health St. Mary's- Detroit Lakes is seeking a registered nurse to organize and provide nursing care to patients through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Delegates aspects of care to other licensed staff and contributes to the hospital’s mission and patient safety standards. The position requires a BSN or ADN from an accredited school, Minnesota licensure, BCLS within one month, ACLS within one year, and the ability to work 16 hours per month.

Job Description: Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state and local regulatory or accrediting agencies.

Education Qualifications

BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school or college of nursing

This position requires the ability to work the following:

16 hours per month

Licensure/Certification Qualifications

Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment Pervious OR experience preferred

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year
