Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley, WV seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the CCSD unit on a full-time night shift. The unit provides intermediate-level care with close monitoring after critical illness, cardiac events, surgeries, or complex conditions, bridging ICU and medical-surgical services.

Ideal candidates hold an active RN license, an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing, and certifications (BLS required within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months).

Qualifications

• Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associates or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age- and condition-appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or complex medical conditions. This fast-paced unit bridges the gap between intensive care and medical-surgical services, caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other high-acuity diagnoses. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring, post-procedural care, telemetry interpretation, medication management, and patient/family education.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs

What We're Looking For
