The CCSD Unit at Raleigh General Hospital provides specialized intermediate-level care for patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing support following critical illness, cardiac events, surgical procedures, or complex medical conditions. This fast-paced unit bridges the gap between intensive care and medical‑surgical services, caring for patients with cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other high‑acuity diagnoses. Nurses on the unit are skilled in cardiac monitoring, post‑procedural care, telemetry interpretation, medication management, and patient/family education.

How you'll contribute

• Performs accurate and thorough patient assessments and identifies patient needs
• Initiates appropriate nursing interventions based on assessment findings
• Provides age‑ and condition‑appropriate nursing care
• Completes timely and accurate documentation supporting medical necessity in the medical record
• Develops, implements, and revises interdisciplinary care plans for each patient

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire.
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred
