Job summary

Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab in a PRN capacity. You will assist with Cath procedures, monitor patients, and contribute to a safe, high-quality care environment.

Ideal candidates hold an active Kentucky RN license with BLS/ACLS certifications and have an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred). Join a team focused on compassionate care and professional development, with strong support and resources for patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients.
• Performs all aspects of patient care in a setting that prioritizes safety and reduces errors.
• Formulates and revises individualized care plans and evaluates effectiveness daily.
• Monitors, documents and communicates patient condition to care team, providers, patient and family.
• Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referrals and support needs.
• Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides education.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being and rights.

How you'll contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role:

The Cath Lab RN assesses implementation and evaluation of patients in Cath Lab.

• Assists with Cath procedures, medication administration and monitoring of Cath patients
• Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors.
• Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have an Active Kentucky RN License Required (single state or compact). If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Education: Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
