Job summary

Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Women’s Services. This full-time night shift (3x12, 7p-7a) offers a sign-on bonus based on eligibility and a mission-driven team focused on compassionate care.

The Women's Health Department covers Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care. Candidates must have an active KY RN license, an associate’s degree, and BLS/ACLS per policy where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active Kentucky RN license (or compact).BLS required within 1 month of hire.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments and other medical care.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Monitors, records and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care, transfers, discharges, referrals and support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient/family and provides education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

More About Our Team

The Women's Health Department provides comprehensive patient care across multiple specialty areas, including Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, Women's Health Surgical Services, and the Newborn Nursery. The department delivers direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, and in alignment with the policies, values, and mission of the organization.

How You'll Contribute

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

What We're Looking For

Active Kentucky RN License Required (single state or compact). If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
