North Alabama Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) team. You will support diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and ensure smooth perioperative care in a high-tech environment.

The role requires a valid Alabama RN license and 1–3 years of nursing experience in a cath lab or closely related setting. This is a PRN/Days schedule with comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Life Support certification.
• 1–3 years of RN work experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and continue nursing care for the patient before, during, and after the cardiac procedure.
• Administer drugs and medications and monitor hemodynamics.
• Set up all cardiac procedures and apply clinical judgment within standard practice.

Cath Lab Unit:

North Alabama Medical Center features four Cardiac Catheterization Labs with one room dedicated to electrophysiology studies. The cath lab provides services for 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. Our cardiac cath lab is a specialized unit that is designed to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. Cath labs perform dye test on patients' hearts and other vessels in the body. When interventions are needed, blockages are treated with balloons and stents. Cath labs are well known for placing stents in a heart during a heart attack. NAMC features the only interventional cath lab within 75 miles of Florence capable of treating heart attack patients.

How you'll contribute

• You'll make an impact by utilizing your specialized plan-of-care intervention and serving as a patient-care innovator
• You will shape exceptional patient journeys every day and leverage your skills and our cutting-edge technology to directly impact patient wellbeing.
• You'll be responsible for the initiation and continuation of nursing care for the patient before, during, and after the cardiac procedure. Implementing proper nursing care for the patient, administration of drugs and medications, hemodynamic monitoring general knowledge, and set - up of all cardiac procedures.
• Job activities are fairly complex and highly diversified but are structured within a predefined work routine. Involves the exercise of judgement in the analysis of facts or conditions regarding patient care or hospital problems to determine what action should be taken within the specifications of standard practice.

What we're looking for:

• Basic Life Support certification
• Requires one to three years of work experience.
• Have a State of Alabama Nursing License
