North Alabama Medical Center's Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) is a high-acuity, fast-paced environment dedicated to providing exceptional care for critically ill cardiac and vascular patients. The unit specializes in the management of complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-operative open-heart surgery patients, advanced heart failure cases, and patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring and life-sustaining therapies. CVICU nurses work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care.
