Springfield Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Short Stay Unit (6B) on a part-time day shift. The unit is fast-paced with telemetry monitoring and frequent admissions and discharges.

Requires IL RN licensure and current BLS/CPR. Two 12-hour shifts per week with every third weekend rotation; sign-on bonus available. Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care is essential.

Formación

• Licensed RN in Illinois; maintain current BLS/CPR per policy.
• Ability to position/transfer adult patients; perform IV injections and IM injections.
• Prolonged standing; exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous materials.
• Care for cardiopulmonary patients including chest pain, Afib, heart failure.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients, provide teaching, administer IVs and medications.
• Monitor cardiopulmonary status with telemetry; manage admissions/discharges.
• Ensure safety, infection control, and compassionate patient care.
• Collaborate with care teams in a high-volume cardiac unit.

*** SIGN ON BONUS AVAILABLE *** This is a Part Time Day Shift Position (Two 12 hour shifts per week, every third weekend rotation)

Registered Nurse - Cardiac Short Stay Unit (6B) is a fast paced, quick turnaround unit with frequent admissions and discharges. All beds have “on-site” telemetry monitoring. Many opportunities for assessments, teaching, IVs, chest tubes, dressings, analysis of laboratory values and medication administration and management. Patient population is primarily focused on cardiopulmonary diagnosis such as Chest pain, Acute onset Afib, Heart failure, COPD, Asthma, Pneumonia, Acute PE/DVT. Cath lab and CVOR post procedural patients such as Cardiac stents, Ablations, Watchmans, Pacemaker/ICD insertion and Video Assisted Thoracoscopy surgery (VATS).

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

• Licensed as RN in State of Illinois.
• Current BLS/CPR certification per policy.

Other Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to position and/or transfer an average adult patient and possess gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required.
• Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections.
• Environmental working conditions include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissue, contagious diseases and/or radioactive or other potentially hazardous materials.
