Job Type: Full-time, Variable 12-hour Shift w/EOW

Sign-on Bonus: Up to $20,000

Department/Unit Summary

The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit providing comprehensive mental health care to individuals aged 18-59, with admissions evaluated on an individual basis for those over 59. Patients have primary DSM 5 diagnoses, possibly with additional diagnoses such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, or medical comorbidities. Patients must be medically stable. Safety practices include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring, and presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care involves daily psychiatric assessments, therapy, and medication management tailored to meet emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational, and spiritual needs. Nurses work 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P), fostering great teamwork.

Qualifications
