Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Medicine PRN/Hourly

Job Type: PRN/Hourly | 12-hour shifts (7A & 7P) per pay period

Department/Unit Summary:

The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit providing comprehensive mental health care for individuals aged 18-59. Patients over 59 are evaluated on an individual basis. Admissions require patients to be medically stable and primarily diagnosed with DSM-5 conditions, possibly with additional diagnoses such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, or medical comorbidities. Safety protocols include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring of community areas, and staff presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care includes daily psychiatric assessments, therapy, and medication management tailored to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational, and spiritual needs of adult patients. Staff work 12-hour shifts, fostering strong teamwork.
