Registered Nurse (RN) - Behavioral Medicine

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Medicine. This full-time position involves a variable 12-hour shift with every other weekend off, offering up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus.

Department/Unit Summary

The Adult Psychiatric Unit is a 29-bed locked unit providing comprehensive mental health care to individuals aged 18-59. Patients over 59 are evaluated individually. The unit manages primary DSM-5 diagnoses, with possible additional diagnoses such as Intellectual Disabilities, Autism, and medical comorbidities. Patients must be medically stable for admission. Safety protocols include 15-minute safety checks, staff monitoring, and presence during meals and visiting hours. Nursing care includes daily psychiatric assessments, therapy, and medication management tailored to meet the emotional, behavioral, physical, cultural, educational, and spiritual needs of adults. Staff work 12-hour shifts (7 AM & 7 PM), fostering a strong team environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must hold a current state RN license and have an associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:
