Lifepoint Health’s Cottonwood Springs facility in Kansas is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN). You will assess patients, plan care, supervise the shift, and lead nursing teams to ensure adherence to policies and high-quality patient care.

The role requires a Kansas or Compact RN license, ADN, and BLS, with BSN preferred. Schedule: FT days, 7a–7p, rotating weekends/on-call/holidays; benefits and growth opportunities available.

• ADN from an accredited nursing school.
• BSN preferred; Associates required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred; CPR and De-escalation certification within 30 days of hire.

Cottonwood Springsis a 108-bed behavioral health facility offering adult mental health and substance use treatment services. The facility includes four 24-bed units (Meadows, Sunrise, Cedars, and Prairie) and one 12-bed unit (Sunflower), specializing in depression, anxiety, psychosis, thought disorders, and substance detoxification. Cottonwood Springs fosters a trauma-informed, team-centered culture where RNs and BHTs work collaboratively and are equally valued. ARegistered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Will assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
• Will oversee and supervise the shift
• Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc
• Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
• Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
• Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
• Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kansas or Compact State RN license and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred, Associates required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred, CPR, and De-escalation certification but must have within 30 days of hire

Schedule: FT Days Shift 7a - 7p and rotating weekends/on-call/holidays
