Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield, KY is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within a behavioral health setting, using the nursing process and collaborating with the interprofessional team to ensure safe, therapeutic environments and high-quality outcomes.

The full-time, day-shift position operates 7a–7p with on-call potential. Requires RN license; ACLS/PALS within six months of hire and BLS within 30 days. Sign-on bonus eligible.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• ACLS and PALS within six months of hire; HWC preferred.
• One year of nursing experience preferred.
• ASLS certification preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provides direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice for behavioral health patients.
• Collaborates with the interprofessional team to support a safe, therapeutic environment and high-quality outcomes.
• Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age-/culture-appropriate patient and family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in unit and organizational performance improvement and required continuing education.
• Provides quality patient care and works other shifts/units as needed; may be assigned on-call.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• RN license required
• ACLS and PALS are required within six months of hire. Handle With Care (HWC) preferred
• One year of experience preferred
• ASLS certification preferred

Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.
