Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Admission/Discharge to join our fast-paced unit. The RN will work PRN with a 05:30–18:00 schedule, coordinating care and ensuring smooth patient transitions from admission through discharge.

Education requires graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred, but if not, must be accepted into a program within 6 months and completed within 3 years.

The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing.
