Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift (Full Time, 7pm–7:30am, 72 hours per pay). This Level I Trauma Center serves over 90,000 patients annually and offers Sign On Bonus.

The CN will coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team, maintain standards per the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid Ohio RN license.
• 1 year of acute care hospital RN experience required.
• Must multitask with interruptions; basic computer knowledge; strong organization; interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for a caseload as defined by the practice scope.
• Coordinate and direct care delivered by the interdisciplinary team.
• Comply with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and institutional policies.
• Provide physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients and families.

The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
