Job summary

Miami Valley Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Neuro ICU team on a full-time night shift (7:00 PM–7:30 AM), delivering high-acuity care in a fast-paced environment.

The clinical nurse coordinates care with an interdisciplinary team, adheres to the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, and supports patient and family outcomes. BSN preferred or must be obtained within five years of hire; RN license required; current BLS.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire.
• Proof of enrollment required within 6 months of hire.
• RNs with min. 2 years of acute care hospital experience may elect to forgo the BSN requirement and sign a Professional Certification MOU within 3 years of hire.

The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing; BSN required or must obtain within 5 years of hire.
