Job summary

Essentia Deer River Hospital is seeking an RN to join our dedicated team in Deer River, MN. You will organize and provide nursing care across the care continuum, from assessment to evaluation, and work with licensed staff to delegate tasks as appropriate.

You will respond to emergencies and assist with safe patient transport when needed. Required BSN or ADN, current Minnesota nursing licensure, and certifications including BCLS, ACLS, ENPC, and either CALS or TNCC within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• BSN or ADN degree from an accredited school.
• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment.
• BCLS within 1 month; ACLS within 1 year; ENPC within 2 years; CALS or TNCC within 1 year from hire.

Responsible for organizing and providing nursing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Delegates aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation and job descriptions. Contributes to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. Responds to emergency calls, assists ambulance team in performance of medical services and safe transportation of patients to medical facilities.

• Current nursing licensure in state(s) of employment
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within 1 month
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year
• Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification within 2 years
• Comprehensive Advanced Life Support (CALS) certification or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) OR MN State Trauma Modules within 1 year from the date of hire
