Shift details:

1. 8 Hour shift
2. Full Time

What you will do:

1. Supervise and manage all nurses and certified nurses aides within the facility on the second shift
2. Assist with staffing needs
3. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
4. Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and record prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
5. Educate patients on surgical procedures
6. Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
7. Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
8. Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
9. Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
10. Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
11. Participate in discharge planning.
12. Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
13. Report directly to the DON and any other job performances as directed by the DON
