Job Details
  • Reports to: Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing
  • Department: Nursing
  • Job Classification: Staff Nurse
  • Position Purpose: Provides nursing care to residents assigned
  • Location: Rocky Mount, NC 27804 (In person)
Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of an approved LPN program
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing preferred
  • Experience in hospital, skilled nursing, or related medical facility
  • Current CPR Certification
  • Ability to work independently, with flexibility, integrity, and effective communication skills
  • Meet state licensure requirements with no disciplinary actions
Major Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Participate in planning and implementing unit activities
  2. Ensure policies, safety rules, and regulations are followed
  3. Provide accurate information to residents, visitors, and staff
  4. Protect resident rights and maintain confidentiality
  5. Maintain stock levels of medications and supplies
  6. Notify physicians and supervisors of critical incidents
  7. Assist with resident assessments, treatments, and documentation
  8. Administer medications as ordered
  9. Assist in orientation of new personnel
  10. Follow infection control procedures
  11. Participate in emergency drills and safety protocols
Additional Tasks
  • Promote residents' dignity and rights
  • Adhere to compliance and safety standards
  • Report noncompliance or abuse
  • Participate in training and quality improvement activities
  • Assist in emergency evacuations and other physical tasks as needed
