Avalon Care Center Yakima, part of Avalon Health Care Group, is actively hiring Registered Nurses to join a dedicated team in Yakima, WA. The role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN options with day, evening, and night shifts and generous shift differentials for evenings and nights.

Wages range from $51.00 to $57.94 per hour. Eligible benefits include a comprehensive package with 401K, medical/dental/vision, FSAs, life and disability insurance, plus legal and identity protection.

Qualifications

• A current, active RN license in the state of practice.
• Recent clinical experience and geriatrics-focused skills.
• Ability to adhere to regulatory guidelines and facility policies.
• Willingness to complete vaccine attestation and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care per care plans and policies.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor residents and report changes to physicians and team.
• Document patient progress and vital signs in EMR.
• Coordinate with the care team to implement individualized plans.
• Supervise LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff to ensure quality care.
• Respond to emergencies with appropriate interventions.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions and post-discharge care.

$1.00 shift differential for eves

Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans, facility policies, and regulatory guidelines.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely.
• Monitor residents’ conditions and report significant changes to physicians and other healthcare team members.
• Conduct assessments and document patient progress, symptoms, and vital signs.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing staff to ensure high-quality resident care.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
• Educate residents and families on health conditions, care plans, and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and health and safety regulations.
• Promote dignity, independence, and overall well-being of residents.

Qualifications

• A current, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in State of practice.
• Demonstrate RN clinical assessment skills at the level necessary to meet the job requirements.
• Recent clinical experience, education, or specialty skills specific to geriatrics.
• Demonstrate understanding that state and Federal rules and regulations govern the practices within the facility.
• Ongoing pursuit of Continuing Education Credits in clinical subjects, management, personal growth and development
• Must pass criminal background investigation, reference inquiry, and vaccine mandate attestation requirements of either having been vaccinated or present documentation needed for a medical or religious exemption.
