Avalon Care Center Yakima is seeking a self-motivated RN to join our team as Assistant Director of Nursing. This full-time role offers a wage between $125,000 and $130,000 per year and requires leadership in clinical supervision and high-quality resident care.

We value compassionate care, clear communication, and dedication to residents' health and well-being. The position includes guiding nursing staff, coordinating in-service training, and collaborating with the Director of Nursing.

Qualifications

• Must hold an RN license in good standing.
• Prior nursing leadership experience required.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Experience in SNF/long-term care preferred.
• Knowledge of long-term care regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical supervision for all residents as day supervisor.
• Coordinate in-service education for all departments and maintain records.
• Track accidents and unusual occurrences and monitor trends.
• Monitor pressure ulcers and infection control as Assistant Director.
• Round on all facility residents at least twice daily.
• Create nursing/CNA schedules for all shifts as directed by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist Director in day-to-day organization.

Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to provide Clinical Supervision for all residents as "day supervisor".
• Responsible for all In-service Coordination/Educational needs of all departments. Will maintain in-service records.
• Responsible for accident/unusual occurrence tracking/trending monitoring systems as assigned.
• Assistant Director of Nursing with pressure sore and infection control monitoring.
• Responsible for rounding on all facility residents at least twice a day.
• Responsible for making schedules for nursing staff/CNA staff for all hours as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
• Assist Director of Nursing in organizing and directing day-to-day functions.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Licensed Nurse.
• Must have previous nursing leadership experience
• Must speak and understand English.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care facility, or other health care related facility.
• Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations and guidelines governing long-term care.
• Positive attitude toward the elderly
