Job summary

Regency at Shelby Township is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee resident care during assigned shifts. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while ensuring quality and safety, and you will supervise LPNs, CNAs, and other staff to maintain continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long‑term or sub‑acute care.
• CPR Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Receives staffing calls and arranges replacements.

Description

The Registered Nurse Supervisor (RN) is responsible for providing, overseeing, and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care plans while ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety. The RN supervises and supports licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other team members to ensure continuity of care and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher‑level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long‑term or sub‑acute preferred.
