Job summary

The Manor of Farmington is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care during assigned shifts in a long-term care setting in Farmington Hills, MI. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while guiding LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to ensure quality and safety.

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.
• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) and CPR certification (or CPR within 90 days of employment).

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, Medication Aides, CNAs/STNAs and other staff providing direct care
• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities
• Prepares work assignments, adjusting for staffing levels and resident safety
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring, disciplining, or terminating staff
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing, overseeing, and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care plans while ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety. The RN supervises and supports licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other team members to ensure continuity of care and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.
