Job summary

Belle Terrace, under new management, is hiring full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide comprehensive nursing care to residents. The RN will oversee care on a designated unit, administer treatments and medications, and coordinate with staff to implement each resident’s plan of care.

Requirements include graduating from an accredited nursing program and an active PA RN license. Prior long-term care experience is desirable; computer knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Must possess a current, active RN license to practice in Pennsylvania.
• Previous long-term care experience is desirable; computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents on the assigned unit.
• Administer treatments and medications as ordered and per care plan.
• Organize and distribute daily assignments to direct care staff.
• Supervise direct care staff and adjust care decisions within scope of clinical competence.
• Ensure that Flow of Care is followed and standards are met.

As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to assigned residents of a designated unit for one shift. The RN provides direct care, administers treatments and medications, organizes and distributes daily assignments to direct care staff consistent with staff competency and each individual resident's comprehensive resident assessment and plan of care. The RN supervises direct care staff and makes decisions about resident care needs during shifts concerning scope of clinical competence, consistent with facility policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse ensures that “Flow of Care” is followed.

Requirements:

Education & Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN in Pennsylvania.

Experience

• Previous long-term care experience is desirable but not necessary. Computer knowledge preferred.
