Job summary

Complete Care at La Plata in Maryland is seeking an RN Registered Nurse to deliver direct care to residents recently discharged from hospital or long-term care patients. The role includes administering medications, wound care, assessments and care planning in coordination with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN license required.
• Background check, drug screen, references and physical evaluation required.
• Clinical leadership qualities desirable.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications by oral, topical, IV and injectable routes.
• Perform wound care, pain management and dressings.
• Conduct health assessments and monitor changes.
• Create and update individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and social workers to plan care.
• Educate residents and families about health status and care expectations.
• Maintain detailed documentation of health status and care provided.
• Oversee LPNs and CNAs to ensure quality care and teamwork.

Here's What You'll Do for Our Residents:

Administer Medications: Give oral, topical, IV, injectable medications

Treatments: Perform wound care/prevention, manage pain, apply dressings

Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct health assessments, track changes & analyze data

Care Planning: Create, update & execute individualized care

Collaboration: Strategize care with physicians, therapists, social workers & others

Family & Resident Education: Explain health status, changes and expectations for care

Documentation: Keep a detailed record of health status, all care, progress & interactions

Team Oversight: Oversee & delegate to LPN's and CNA's ensuring quality care/teamwork
