Space Coast Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Merritt Island, FL is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to join our caring team. The role involves leading nursing care with oversight from the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing, rounds to ensure compliance with protocols, and delivering person-centered care to residents.

Candidates must hold a Florida RN license, with prior experience in nursing homes or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Excellence: Partner with the Director and Assistant Director of Nursing to uphold the highest standards of care.
• Daily Oversight: Conduct rounds to ensure compliance with nursing protocols and quality standards.
• Resident Care: Deliver person-centered care and promptly address resident needs or concerns.
• Compliance & Surveys: Participate in facility surveys, maintaining regulatory standards.
• Team Leadership: Mentor and support nursing staff, fostering accountability and collaboration.
• Education & Training: Conduct in-service training to keep staff updated on best practices.
• Incident Reporting: Investigate, document, and follow up on incidents appropriately.
• Care Planning: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and review care plans.
• Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies efficiently, ensuring safety of residents and staff.
• Quality Assurance: Participate in initiatives aimed at improving resident care and satisfaction.

Education

Florida RN license

Experience in nursing home/long-term care preferred
