Job summary

The Beach Post-Acute in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced RN to oversee LVNs and CNAs, ensuring care plans are followed and residents receive the highest quality of care.

You will monitor staffing and census, reassign personnel as needed, mentor staff, keep accurate medical records, and communicate with the DON. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, a 401(k), and paid vacation and sick leave. Shifts are 4 on, 2 off.

Qualifications

• Active CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee LVNs and CNAs in direct patient care based on each patient’s care plan.
• Review staffing patterns and census; reassign personnel to meet resident needs and budget.
• Monitor the skills of new staff and provide guidance as needed.
• Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff members.
• Maintain accurate medical records, including assessments, plans, and progress notes.
• Document interventions and resident responses to treatment.

Salary Range: $45.00 To $55.00 Hourly

We are a 98-bed Skilled Nursing Facility with rehabilitation services located in Long Beach. We are currently looking for an RN who is excited to be a part of a culture that celebrates a supportive environment!

Shifts Available: All Full-Time shifts are on a 4 on 2 off rotation schedule.

Pay Range:

$45-55/hour Depending on Experience

About the Position:

As the RN, your primary responsibility is to oversee LVN’s and CNA’s in providing direct patient care based on each patient’s care plan to the highest quality.

Manages area of responsibility with the goal of achieving and maintaining the highest quality of care possible.

Reviews staffing patterns and the census of nursing units and reassigns personnel, when necessary, to ensure staffing meets resident needs and budgetary controls.

Monitors the skills of new staff members and guides and observes staff that may need additional assistance with procedures.

Supervise, direct, and evaluate assigned staff members, LVNs, and CNAs.

Initiates investigations of accidents and unusual occurrences and makes the necessary written report to the DON.

Keeps the DON informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records, including nursing assessments, care plans, and progress notes.

Documents interventions, observations, and resident responses to treatment.

Qualifications:

• Active CPR/BLS
• Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred
