Job summary

Medical Edge is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for an urgent care location in Juneau, AK. The role offers a pay range of $34.15 - $47.93 per hour with a $25,000 sign-on bonus and $10,000 relocation assistance.

The RN will perform triage, patient assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, care coordination and education, and respond to emergencies. The position is full-time, 40 hours weekly, with rotating days and weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Alaska or another U.S. state.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• At least 1 year of urgent care, ambulatory, outpatient, or clinic experience.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient triage and comprehensive nursing assessments.
• Administer medications, injections, and IV therapies.
• Initiate and manage IV access and infusions.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation.
• Respond to urgent and emergent patient situations.
