Job summary

WesleyLife is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse to support Edgewater Health Center in West Des Moines. You will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, administer medications, and document outcomes. Collaboration with physicians, families, and the care team is essential.

Open shifts include overnight and daytime, with starting pay influenced by experience and shift differential. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, vision, dental, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• LPN license issued by the State of Iowa is required.
• LTC experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed with accurate documentation.
• Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team and communicate with physicians and families.
• Conduct admissions to Edgewater's Health Center and ensure regulatory compliance.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, You Will

• Provide direct nursing care, such as wound care, IV therapy, and catheter management. Comprehensive assessments of residents' health conditions, including vital signs, and developing individualized care plans.Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate documentation and monitoring for side effects.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate and optimize resident care, including communicating with physicians and families.
• Conduct admissions into Edgewater's Health Center.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment for residents.

Open Shifts Available

• Overnight (6:00p-6:00a) FT
• Day (6:00a-6:00p) FT

Qualifications

• State of Iowa LPN license
• Previous LTC experience is preferred but not required
