Job summary

Villa Health & Rehab in Deland, FL, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our caring team. The position offers a $4,000 sign-on bonus for full-time and a $2,000 sign-on bonus for part-time, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

You will coordinate patient care plans, administer medications, monitor patient status, educate patients and families, and document accurately. Candidates must hold an active RN license and CPR certification, and be able to stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document accurately; report adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on procedures and care plans.
• Record patient medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate action when adverse symptoms occur.
• Provide bedside care for a wide range of patients including pre/post-surgery.
• Assist with dressings, catheter insertions, and IV starts.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure timely record-keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse with current state license.
• Must have a current/active CPR certification.

• Able to bend and/or stoop for more than one (1) hour at a time.

Responsibilities

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) and records prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Record patients’ medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology.
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, starts IVs.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately, and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
• Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
