Job summary

Excelsior Care Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to lead and support nursing staff at West Volusia Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Deltona, FL. You will ensure resident care aligns with individual care plans and state regulations, while coordinating assignments and mentoring staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop comprehensive care plans and responds promptly to emergencies, contributing to a high standard of resident care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Florida.
• CPR certification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in long-term care or a related setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee nursing staff, ensuring residents receive care according to their individual care plans and state regulations.
• Coordinate and delegate nursing assignments based on staff skills and resident needs.
• Mentor and support nursing staff, including onboarding new hires and providing ongoing education.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and medical situations with appropriate interventions.
• Perform other duties as required to support resident care and facility operations.
