Ascension’s Via Christi is seeking a Registered Nurse in Wichita, KS to implement and monitor personalized care plans, acting as the primary advocate for patients and translating physician orders into safe, high-quality actions.

You’ll coordinate with the clinical team to ensure a seamless patient journey, coordinate thoughtful discharge plans, and help patients navigate post-hospital care while upholding safety standards and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Kansas required.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program or equivalent licensure.
• Tuition discounts and academic partnership with Wichita State University may apply.

• You will implement, monitor, and adapt personalized care plans, acting as the primary advocate for your patients by communicating critical condition changes in real-time.
• Serving as the central hub of the clinical team, you'll harmonize efforts across multiple disciplines to ensure a seamless, well-coordinated healthcare journey.
• You'll expertly translate physician and nursing orders into high-quality clinical actions, ensuring safety and accuracy are at the forefront of everything you do.
• Your expertise will guide patients beyond our walls as you collaborate with the healthcare team to assess and coordinate thoughtful, comprehensive discharge plans.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.

Education

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR professional licensure at time of hire required.
