Exeter Hospital is part of Beth Israel Lahey Health and seeks a Registered Nurse Resident for the Med Surg Days shift. The year-long Nurse Residency Program offers orientation, mentorship, and clinical development to new graduates.

The 34-bed Medical/Surgical unit provides a collaborative, patient-centered environment with Magnet recognition, competitive benefits starting day one, and strong career growth opportunities. Shift is 7am–7:30pm, with every third weekend.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or another Compact State.
• BCLS certification within 30 days for select nursing positions.
• 0 to 6 months of nursing experience.

Unit Overview

Join our 34-bed Medical/Surgical Unit , providing care to medical, surgical, and telemetry patients. The average length of stay is 3 to 4 days, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on days and typically 6:1 on nights.

This fast-paced environment offers the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills while working alongside experienced nurses, educators, preceptors, and leaders dedicated to your success.

What to Expect

The Nurse Residency Program begins with Corporate Orientation and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and continues through successful completion of required courses, competencies, and at least 50% of elective coursework (approximately 8 months).

Throughout the program, you will:

• Gain hands-on experience caring for a diverse patient population
• Work closely with experienced preceptors and nurse educators
• Receive emotional and clinical support during your transition to practice
• Build confidence and clinical competence in a culture focused on quality and safety
