Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire invites recent nursing graduates to join its Nurse Residency Program on a 34-bed Medical/Surgical Unit. You'll gain hands-on experience while mentored by preceptors and educators.

As a Magnet-designated hospital, we foster nursing excellence, ongoing learning, and teamwork, with orientation, coursework, and structured support to transition from student to professional nurse.

Qualifications

• 0 to 6 months of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or another Compact State.
• BCLS certification required within 30 days for select nursing positions.

Unit Overview

Join our 34-bed Medical/Surgical Unit, providing care to medical, surgical, and telemetry patients. The average length of stay is 3 to 4 days, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 5:1 on days and typically 6:1 on nights. This fast-paced environment offers the opportunity to develop strong clinical skills while working alongside experienced nurses, educators, preceptors, and leaders dedicated to your success.

What to Expect

The Nurse Residency Program begins with Corporate Orientation and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and continues through successful completion of required courses, competencies, and at least 50% of elective coursework (approximately 8 months).
