Job summary

Exeter Hospital, now part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, offers nurse graduates a residency program to develop clinical competence and transition into professional practice. The program includes orientation and interprofessional collaboration in a Magnet-designated hospital setting.

As a Nurse Resident, you will complete required courses and competencies over approximately eight months, with strong emphasis on teamwork and continuous quality and safety improvements.

Qualifications

• 0-6 months nursing experience
• BSN preferred
• Registered Nurse - NH or other compact state license
• BCLS certified - for select nursing positions within 30 days

Responsibilities

• Complete corporate and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and required courses.
• Develop clinical competencies through the Nurse Residency Program over approximately eight months.
• Foster interprofessional teamwork and communication to improve patient care and safety.

Education

BSN preferred

RN license - NH or other compact state

BCLS certification

What To Expect

The Nurse Residency Program begins with Corporate and Nursing & Clinical Orientation and concludes after successfully completing all required courses and associated competencies, and at least 50% of the elective courses (approximately 8 months).
