Job summary

St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in the Treasure Valley area is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Radiation Oncology team.

This full-time, 0.9 FTE role operates on a 4x9 hour shift pattern (7:30am-5:00pm) with no nights or weekends and includes a sign-on bonus eligibility. The Primary Float RN will educate and guide an interprofessional team, work closely with providers, navigators, pharmacists and other professionals to deliver exceptional patient care and support CT simulation and radiation

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice and current BLS certification.
• Minimum 1+ year RN experience.
• Oncology/Radiation Oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Float among St. Luke’s Cancer Institute Treasure Valley sites delivering patient care.
• Collaborate with providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates and other disciplines.
• Evaluate patients and support the physician with patient care.
• Assist in monitoring and caring for CT simulation and radiation procedure patients.
• Cross-train to Radiation Oncology Triage.

What You Can Expect:

We're looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Radiation Oncology team. This position floats between St. Luke’s Cancer Institute Treasure Valley sites (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Fruitland).

• Full-time (0.9 FTE) - day shift
• Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts per week (7:30am-5:00pm)
• No nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays
• Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)
• The Primary Float RN offers medical guidance and education while providing excellent care as an interprofessional team
• Work closely with providers, navigators, pharmacists, patient financial advocates, and other disciplines
• Evaluate patients and support the physician with patient care
• Assist in monitoring and caring for CT simulation and radiation procedure patients
• Cross train to Radiation Oncology Triage

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross
• Preferred: Oncology/Radiation Oncology experience
