Job summary

St. Luke’s Health System’s Radiation Oncology Triage Float RN role is a full-time position that travels between Treasure Valley sites (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Fruitland).

The 0.9 FTE daytime schedule offers consistent hours with no nights or holidays, and a sign-on bonus is available for new hires. Qualified candidates will hold a Nursing Degree with active RN licensure in the state of practice and BLS certification; oncology experience is preferred.

What You Can Expect:

• The Radiation Oncology Triage RN role is a Float position

• Floats between St. Luke’s Cancer Institute Treasure Valley sites (Boise, Meridian, Nampa, and Fruitland)

• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift - no nights, weekends, or St. Luke’s observed holidays

• Schedule: 4 days a week x 9-hour shifts

• Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!

• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)

• Radiation Oncology Triage Float RN: utilizes strong critical thinking and assessment skills to triage calls and evaluate patients of all ages undergoing treatment

• Promotes a positive patient experience with compassion and kindness while integrating technical skills, scientific knowledge, and a caring attitude both in the clinic and through the triage process to aid those living with cancer and their families

• Cross trains to Radiation Oncology primary nursing

• Assists in monitoring and caring for CT simulation and radiation procedure patients

• When covering the Boise clinic site, initiates IV's and monitors contrast patients

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; oncology experience strongly preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of RN experience in lieu of oncology background

• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice and Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute

• Preferred: Radiation Oncology/Oncology experience, OCN certification and/or strong assessment skills
