St. Luke’s Cancer Institute in Meridian is seeking a Chemotherapy Infusion RN to deliver high-quality nursing care for oncology patients in our central CIC.

The role focuses on administering chemotherapy/biotherapy, supporting patient comfort, and ensuring safety throughout infusions. Qualified candidates will have an nursing degree, active RN licensure, BLS, and preferably oncology experience or relevant certifications (OCN/ONS).

Qualifications

• RN license required (state of practice) and BLS Provider Certification

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on nursing care to oncology patients in the Meridian Chemotherapy Infusion Center (CIC)
• Administer high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and biotherapy
• Maintain patient safety, administer infusions, monitor vitals and respond to adverse events

Our St. Luke’s Cancer Institute (SLCI)clinics are dynamic, full-service outpatient hematology/oncology treatment centers offering chemo/bio/and radiation therapies. Patients and their families have trusted St. Luke’s Cancer Institute for more than 50 years for advanced, compassionate care. Today we are a network of five cancer centers dedicated to state-of-the-art treatment close to home; patient-centered care and support; cutting-edge research; and community prevention, education, and early detection initiatives. St. Luke’s holds a Commission on Cancer (CoC) cancer program accreditation - this is a quality program of the American College of Surgeons which demonstrates a cancer program’s commitment to providing high-quality, multidisciplinary, patient-centered cancer care. Our cancer center in Meridian brings our patients medical and radiation oncology specialists, as well as fellowship trained cancer surgeons in areas such as thoracic, hepatobiliary, gynecologic, and urologic oncology.

What You Can Expect:

• Full-time (0.9 FTE): day shift - no nights or weekends!
• Schedule: 4x9’s or 5x8’s & 4x8’s rotation
• Rotating holiday schedule: 1 holiday ever 2 years (St. Luke’s observes 6 major holidays)
• Sign-on bonus eligible for new hires!
• Certification pay available (ex. OCN)
• The Chemo Infusion RN provides hands-on nursing care for Meridian’s oncology population by administering high-risk medications such as chemotherapy and immunotherapy in the Chemotherapy Infusion Center (CIC)
• Our Meridian CIC location has 15 treatment chairs and 2 injection/CVAD chairs and is open from 0700-1730
  • Infusions include chemotherapy/biotherapy, blood products, electrolytes, fluids, etc.

Qualifications:

• Education: Nursing Degree
• Experience: One (1) + years’ RN experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute
• Preferred: Oncology experience, OCN certification, and/or ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification
