Job summary

Care New England’s Butler Hospital seeks an RN to provide direct patient care in alignment with ANA standards, RI Nurse Practice Act, and hospital policies. The role emphasizes teamwork, patient safety, and coordinating care plans in a psychiatric/medical setting.

The position is part-time, evening shifts (20/40) with every-other weekend, based in Providence, RI, within the Care New England system. Licensure in RI and BSN are preferred qualifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Current RI nursing license.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in treatment planning to coordinate management of medical and nursing care and discharge planning of their patients.
• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in a manner that ensures proper care and safety for all patients.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and taking on additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, administration route, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

• Coordinates Psychiatric and/or Medical emergencies in such a manner that assures that the individual in crisis is properly cared for and that all other patients are safe.
• Participates as an active team member by assisting other staff and accepting additional assignments to complete essential patient care and unit responsibilities.
• Administers medications with knowledge of action, mode of administration, side effects, and contraindications.
• Assumes role of Charge Nurse for the shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• B.S.N preferred.
• Current RI nursing license.

Schedule: 20/40 Part Time Evenings - Every Other Weekend
