Amedisys is seeking a registered nurse to provide home health and hospice services under a flexible per diem orientation schedule in Alabama. You will coordinate patient care, perform assessments, administer medications and therapies, and educate families to support healing at home.

Qualificações

• RN with current license in appropriate state(s)
• Minimum six months home health experience
• Current CPR certification
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Able to assess patient status and adjust care accordingly
• Familiar with basic computer use and online HR/training systems

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care
• Collaborate with care teams to develop and implement care plans
• Educate families on patient condition, needs and care
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments
• Check vital signs and manage medications
• Administer injections and IV therapy as required
• Administer and maintain catheters
• Complete documentation timely and accurate
• Supervise LPNs and HHAs
• Communicate patient progress to clinical manager and care team
• Other duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Gives injections, IV therapy or tube feedings.
• Administers and maintains catheters.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.*
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.
• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

*Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.
