Amedisys, a leading home health and hospice provider, seeks an experienced registered nurse to oversee in-home patient care, implement care plans with the care team, and educate families about conditions and treatments.

You will perform head-to-toe assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications and therapies, supervise LPNs and HHAs, and document progress to keep clinicians informed. Florida-based, full-time role with competitive benefits.

Formación

• One year of clinical RN experience; if less, VP approval may be required.
• Current RN license for the states you will serve.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to assess patient status and age-specific needs.
• Familiar with basic computer use and online HR/training portals.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates and oversees all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborates with patient care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educates families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Performs head to toe physical assessments and monitors vital signs.
• Administers injections, IV therapy or tube feeds as needed.
• Administers and maintains catheters.
• Completes documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervises LPNs and HHAs.
• Communicates patient progress to the clinical manager and care team.

• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.*
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.
• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

*Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.
