Job summary

Providence Summit Surgery Center in Santa Clarita, CA has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse PreOp Post Op. The RN PreOp PostOp is responsible for implementing physician orders, ensuring continuity and quality of nursing care, and evaluating patient conditions with a focus on safety, comfort, and privacy.

Schedule is Monday-Friday with no on-call, nights, weekends, or holiday work. Hourly wage ranges from $45.00 to $70.00, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Currently licensed in the state of CA
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS accredited by AHA
• 2+ years experience in PACU or ICU
• CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and sterile technique as deemed appropriate.
• Provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Hourly Wage Range: $45.00 - $70.00 per hour, based on experience
