Job summary

Advanced Surgery Center of North County, part of United Surgical Partners International (USPI), in Escondido, CA, seeks a Registered Nurse for PreOp and PostOp care on a part-time basis. Daytime Monday–Friday schedule with no on-call, nights, weekends, or holiday shifts.

Starting pay is $64.00–$68.00 per hour, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, PTO, 401(k), holidays, HSA/FSAs, EAP, and voluntary options.

Qualifications

• Current CA Nursing License is required.
• ACLS and CPR credentials, accredited by AHA, are required.
• Minimum 2+ years PACU experience in a hospital setting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Capable of high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care for pre/post anesthesia patients.
• Monitor patient condition, ensure safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care from PACU to discharge.

What You Will Do (Job Summary)

The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Monday-Friday daytime work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Starting Pay Range: $64.00 - $68.00 / per hour, depending on experience

Required Skills

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current CA Nursing License
• Current CPR, ACLS accredited by AHA
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 2+ year PACU experience in a hospital setting
• Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
