Job summary

Northridge Surgery Center, part of United Surgical Partners International, seeks an RN PACU to deliver perioperative care with nursing-process-based methods. You will support safe, patient-family centered care across patient populations in a busy ambulatory setting.

Expect to work under the Peri-operative Services Manager, leveraging clinical knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique while adapting to changing patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state.
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Must have at least 1–3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU.
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred.
• Current BLS, ALS and PALS certifications required.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and aseptic technique.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing patient conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality patient care using the nursing process and plan of care.
• Deliver safe, patient-family centered perioperative care across populations.
• Support Peri-operative Services Department and report to the Manager.

Registered Nurse PACU at Northridge Surgery Center

The RN PACU is a Registered Nurse that provides quality patient care using the nursing process, the medical plan of care, and organizational policies. The RN PACU provides safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the perioperative services for all patient populations. The RN PACU supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization. The RN Pre-op/PACU reports to the Manager of Peri-operative Services.

Qulifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with an unrestricted license in the state
• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Must have at least 1-3 years' previous experience in PreOP/PACU
• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred
• Must have current BLS, ALS and PALS
• Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
