Providence Summit Surgery Center in Santa Clarita, CA has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse PreOp Post Op - Part Time. The RN will implement physician orders, monitor patient status, ensure safety, comfort and privacy, and assist during procedures with sterile technique and conscious sedation as needed.

This role is Monday through Friday, 20–29 hours per week, with no on-call, nights, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed RN in California (CA).
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Implement physician orders and provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Monitor patient conditions with continual evaluation and ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile technique.
• Prepare patients for discharge with appropriate instructions.

Education

Multi-specialty areas include ENT, GI Lab, General Surgery, GYN, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pain Management, Plastic Surgery, Podiatry, Oral Surgery and Urology.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse PreOp PostOp is responsible for implementing all physician orders, providing for the continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patients' condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate. Responsible for providing total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation. Responsible for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge.

Schedule

Monday-Friday work schedule

NO call required

NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours

Part Time status requires 20 - 29 hours/week.

Starting Hourly Wage Range: $48.00 - $65.00 per hour, based on experience

Education, Training And Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Currently licensed in the state of CA
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS accredited by AHA
• 2+ years experience in PACU or ICU
• CPR certified. ACLS certification is required within 6 months of employment if not currently certified
