Job summary

Horizon Surgery Center South in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse to support pre-op, PACU, and step-down care. You will assess patients, deliver individualized perioperative nursing, and collaborate with the surgical team for safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN program.
• Current RN license and BLS certification; ACLS required within 6 months.
• Minimum 1 year of OR or perioperative nursing experience (within last 3–5 years).
• Preferred: Member of the Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in perioperative settings.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes during recovery.
• Document accurately and communicate effectively with team members and patients.
• Maintain sterile environments and adhere to safety protocols.

Role Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) supports pre-op, PACU, and stepdown patient care. This position is responsible for assessing patients, delivering individualized nursing care, monitoring recovery, and collaborating with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal outcomes.
